Update, due to the four extra rings being added the prize monies are now

£120 for first prize
£ 80 for second prize
£ 50 for third prize
£ 30 for forth prize

The birds will be bred and trained by mark aka superstar

34 rings at £10= £340 less £60 for site funds = £280 prize fund split between first 4 pigeons over all 1st, 2nd, 3rd, & 4th. There will also be a portable colour TV donated by Chris Maidment for the best over all performing bird at club level. scoring will be first 10 birds home will each be awarded from 10pts for 1st down to 1pnt for 10th. Races will be 8 in total with Hereford and south Shropshire federation (race points still under discussion) should there be a race canceled then mark (superstar) will use a 30ml training toss as a substitute for that week. Prize money will be £120 for 1st, £80 for 2nd, £50 for 3rd and £30 for 4th place. instead of a wooden spoon for the lowest scoring bird remaining at the loft at the end there will be a bottle of scotch whisky to drown sorrows with donated by superstar

Here are a few pictures of the birds in the loft this afternoon. They have been out a couple of times and have enjoyed a good bath and flitting round in the sunshine. Hopefully the weather will stay reasonable so they can be out every day from now on.

totally agree with that jason they look great

Well amid all the confusion life in and around the loft goes on and for those that are interested all birds are now quite comfortable in and around the loft and are no problem to trap through the sputnik. Most if not all have been flitting round the loft and becoming quite adventurous for a few minutes at a time.
Here are a few pictures of them this morning after they had got the wild blood out of them.

Lol the big blue with the orange bucket is a strag that dropped in, looks a bit like a Dordin and in need of much road work to get it fit! Probably better to neck it .

well life to short for stress and boredom

Well its been more than a week since I let you know how the birds are doing so here are a few pic's of the birds starting to fly round home and what they look like when they are down on the ground now. All 34 are still here and have had no problems with them what so ever, did suffer a scare with a sparrow hawk yesterday which sent them all off the loft and no sign of a pigeon for 25 mins but fortunatly they all returned with one late one that turned up in the afternoon. Not sure if this works or not but its a short video clip taken with my camera that I have posted on you tube for you to see how they trap, wasnt the best performance so far but cant complain as they are getting there. well haveing see n the video all i can comment is. its no bloody wonder they brought ets in its so they can beat you on trapping bloody hell mark they are quick?????

When you say about ETS Chris, I do have it and when first installed noticed when birds came back in large batches trapped so quick some were being missed so had to install bob wires in the sputnik to slow them down a bit or some wernt registered on arrival.

Thanks Bob for your nice comment and believe me the camera does lie! Well not so much the camera but me with paint shop pro , as I did add a bit of hair to the top of my head where I'm sat with the orange bucket. Cant be that thin on top as chris knows me in person and hadn't noticed hahaha. Not ever been known for losing many young birds so hope this season will be no different. Fingers crossed please!! The plan was to keep them all here and so far so good!
