found today has orange ring gb 09 n14269

hi everyone just wanted to report this as found, he is currently in my back garden, which is enclosed and no cats around, he has been eating seed that was on the ground from my bird feeders, have supplied him with water and put some dried uncooked rice, he had got a piece of fine red thread round one of his feet, but these came off as he walked through the grass, looks healthy,

How long has he been with you. If he has just arrived, maybe a good feed, some water, and after a rest he may leave on his own accord. If however he has been with you some time and you can catch him, keep him anywhere he cannot escape will do, preferably in a box with holes in it with food and water, or an old cage, or even in a shed. It is the law and the duty of the owner to collect or make arrangements for the bird to be collected if you are a non pigeon fancier.

Maybe best if you can catch him and keep him confined, as he may be exhausted and could possibly become victim to your local cats, especialy if he cannot fly to a safe place for the night. Then report him via this link

hi everyone. many thanks again for all your help, the pigeon was collected by courier, and taken back to its owner, 61 miles away in wakefield! Just thought I would let you know the outcome.
